Sra Bus is one of the finest dining restaurants of Thai cuisine; it is certainly a perfect place to start experiment this country’s amazing flavors. With every dish made more spectacular than its traditional counterpart, the restaurant amazes both locals and foreigners through its high end dining experience. It is located in an area easy to reach, the ground floor of the Siam Kempinski Hotel and it is a place that you will recognize immediately due to its distinct design. It has been decorated with antique Thai elements as well as carved elements on the corners that suggest the restaurant’s name, which means lotus pond. In its center you will find a tranquil water feature that has been decorated with lotus flowers and serves as testament for this establishment’s name. Sra Bua is divided into many areas, some for those who wish to be in the center of attention, while others more suitable for those who require a more private setting for their dining experience. Whatever you choose, the attentive staff will make sure that you are seated somewhere you will feel extremely comfortable.

The chef here runs another Michelin star restaurant in Copenhagen and visits regularly to make sure that every dish is done to perfection or to rearrange and change the menu according to season and for more variety. There are, however, some dishes that remain favorite, dishes the restaurant is known for and for which many come here again to taste them one more time. One of the dishes you simply have to try if you ever find yourself at Sra Bua is the lovely frozen red curry with lobster salad, a signature dish that combines the sweet flavors of avocado and longan fruit with the soft lobster and the red curry with peanuts and lychee foam. Although here you will find Thai elements in every dish, a connoisseur will certainly see that each dish has a more European influence.  There are some French influences in unforgettable dishes such as the amazing seared foie gras with plum wine, or the orchid salad with snow fish in Thai dressing. You will notice that on top of the traditional Thai flavors, a mix of styles and influences are also added. Another element that amazes and makes clients come back for more is the way the food is presented. Some make you awe while others simply surprise you and leave you speechless so each dish is a celebration for eyes before you even have the chance to taste it, making this restaurant a place that shouldn’t be missed.
