Weather in Bangkok

Temperatures in Bangkok are rarely below 25° C (77° F). That is because the Bangkok area has a tropical monsoon climate, so mostly it is warm and humid. In Thailand, the climate can be roughly divided into three seasons: There is the so-called cool season, the warm season and the rain season.

However, what the Thais call “cool” might feel quite warm to you if you aren’t used to it, as this means temperatures are still around 25° C. The average maximum temperature is higher than 30° C in all months of the year. During the hot season they climb much higher, mostly above 30° C. Even in the rainy season the heavy downpours don’t really cool the air down. Instead, it’s a warm rain and the climate gets pretty humid and sticky during this season of the year.
